Staff med-Edit is owned and operated by Carol Carter, MS, MA. Ms. Carter began her career in medical publishing about two decades ago as a medical editor with Matthew Bender and Company, Inc., where she soon took on the role of publication manager to oversee several medicolegal texts covering a broad range of clinical topics. Years later, she ventured forth on her own as a freelance editor and writer with medical education companies, publishers of books and medical journals, and physicians. Ms. Carter currently combines her academic background (advanced degrees in biomedical sciences and education) with her experiences in medical publishing to ensure that materials written for healthcare professionals meet the rigorous demands of the intended reader, as well as publishers in this field.
